Kits Event Hire - Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Kits Event Hire. By booking our wedding and event trees and plants  you (the "Client") agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Booking and Deposit

1.1. To secure your date and items for your event, a non-refundable booking deposit of 30% of the total invoice value is required upon booking.

1.2. Dates and hire items are not officially reserved until this deposit has been paid in full and confirmation has been issued by Kits Event Hire.

1.3. Because booking our trees and plants removes them from our available inventory for other clients, the 30% deposit is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, including event postponement or cancellation.

2. Payment Terms and Balance

2.1. The final remaining balance of the hire fee must be paid in full no later than the day of the event (or by the due date specified on your final invoice, whichever comes first).

2.2. Kits Event Hire reserves the right to withhold delivery or collection of hire items if full payment has not cleared prior to or on the day of the event.

3. Hire Period

3.1. The standard hire period is 48 hours, covering setup/delivery and collection around your event date.

3.2. If you require the trees and plants for a longer duration (e.g., multi-day events, extended venue showcases), this must be agreed upon in advance. Additional hire periods will incur extra charges calculated on a daily or weekly pro-rata basis as outlined in your quote.

4. Damage Waiver and Security Deposit

4.1. A separate damage waiver / security deposit will be charged alongside your final balance (amount specified on your booking invoice).

4.2. This deposit is held to cover any loss, theft, breakage, or excessive damage to our trees, plants, foliage, pots, or associated decor during the hire period.

4.3. The damage waiver deposit will be fully refunded to you within 3–5 business days following the event, provided all items are returned/collected in the same condition as delivered (fair wear and tear excepted).

4.4. If items are damaged, missing, or require professional cleaning/repair beyond normal use, the cost of repair or replacement will be deducted from the damage waiver deposit. If costs exceed the deposit amount, the Client will be invoiced for the difference.

5. Delivery, Setup, and Venue Access

5.1. Delivery, setup, and collection fees will be quoted separately based on venue location, mileage, and labor requirements. Delivery will be calculated at 50p per mile from Kits Nursery

5.2. The Client is responsible for ensuring that the venue provides safe and timely access for delivery and collection, and that there is adequate space and suitable ground conditions for the trees and plants.

6. Client Responsibilities

6.1. Once delivered and set up, the Client (or venue coordinator) is responsible for the care and security of the hire items until Kits Event Hire collects them.

6.2. Trees and plants must not be moved from their designated setup positions without prior consent from Kits Event Hire, as improper movement can damage heavy bases or foliage.
